Gate City vistors side is alot better than most High School fields I have been to this year. At least they have a real stadium. Not 40 yards of metal bleachers that most have.

That may be true, but they have no seating capacity unless you are there to watch GC...lol.

The first time I went to a game at GC, I was thrown by the fact that you had a lot of Gate City fans sitting in different groups around you. But, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

They're there to support their team, and you're there to support your team. It really shouldn't matter where you sit.

    Re: ilsGate City Fans

I understand the issue with season ticket holders but my issue is when there is seating open on the home bleachers and fans choose to sit on the away teams bleachers. At the least they could have the student section not be on the visitors side when the only thing that comes out of it that they are screaming at the visiting team it gives the outlook that they just want to start trouble.

    Re: ilsGate City Fans

I sit in the home bleachers (unreserved section) every Friday. There isn't seating enough to bring complete student section plus other GC fans to home side. The season ticket holders have 80% of home side. If they don't come there seats go empty. Nothing can be done about that. But most games they do come and there are not alot of empty seats anywhere.

But honestly I don't care if visiting team has enough seating. They don't care if we do when we visit there place. PV visiting bleachers doesn't sit half the GC people when we come. Have to stand on the fence unless you get there at 6:00. Same goes for most.

There is a difference between not supplying enough seating for the visitors not being rude about it not letting the visitors sit in the visitors section of the stadium and screaming at the opposing teams players. Nice reasoning but its not very good. Nice try.

A lot of stadiums are like that, No reason to be disrespectful to the visitors..

To each his own, at PV if your standing where we always stand and your pulling for the opposing team, loudly, you'll be asked to leave. We've done it twice already this year.

I would never scream at a opposing teams players or Coach. And I would say 99% of GC fans would agree. I agree that is disrepectful. I would also say that doesn't happen often. Sure there are some idiots. But come on. "Nice try"

I do not agree sitting on the vistors side is disrepectful however. We sit where we can.
